This President founded the FIDM Fashion Club at Carmel Christian School in North Carolina.
When I came to Carmel Christian as a sophomore and learned that they did not have any sort of Fashion Club, I jumped at the opportunity to fill that void.
Tell us a bit about yourself: I've been swimming competitively for the past ten years. I spent more time on Pinterest than I would like admit, and I also make a killer grilled cheese.
How did you get involved in Fashion Club? I actually founded Fashion Club at my school. I was part of it my freshman year at another school, but when I came to Carmel Christian as a sophomore and learned that they did not have any sort of Fashion Club, I jumped at the opportunity to fill that void.
What do you love the most about fashion? I absolutely love fashion because it's just so fun! There are so many opportunities for innovation and evolution. There are no rules and really anything goes. If I want to wear stripes and polkadots I can totally do that and make it work. Fashion is unlike anything else, and I love being in FIDM Fashion Club with a bunch of other people who think the same way. It is a great thing to be able to gather with a bunch of other girls and just bond over something that we are all equally passionate about.
Tell us the top three fashion trends for spring and summer: I am currently obsessed mixing patterns, mid-length skirts, and bralettes!
What's your favorite thing in your closet at the moment? Tunics. I love pairing them with jeans and booties. They can be dressed up or down and are just so flattering!
What upcoming activities do you have planned for your club? We are working on an end of the year get together for all the Fashion Club members, as well as the possibility of producing a fashion show. Exciting times!!
What are your career goals? I for sure want to do something in fashion, possibly be a buyer, though not totally sure. Wherever I end up, my ultimate goal is to be happy in my job, and be able to do what I love every day.
