This FC President from Rogers HS in Minnesota has been accepted into FIDM, and has plans to one day work for Disney or Warner Brothers.
I am super excited to attend FIDM. There is not a day that goes by where I’m not smiling and thinking about it.
Tell us a little about yourself: I am an 18 year old high school senior at Rogers High school in Minnesota. I am passionate about all things fashion! I am also passionate about drawing and making jewelry. I enjoy creating things, knitting, and being creative in all ways, especially with my fashion style.
How did you get involved with Fashion Club? I became involved with the Fashion Club at my high school when I decided that I wanted to attend FIDM after my high school graduation, and when I found out that I had a chance to receive a scholarship, I was all in for it. In it to win it!
Activities: Throughout the year, we so far have made holiday crafts, we made collages that describe the members fashion style and their personalities. Also, Co-president Abby Heikes and I have made a plan to have a prom dress fashion runway, where girls who are interested in selling their prom dress can enter their prom dresses to be walked on the runway and bid on for people to buy them.
What is one of your proudest accomplishments? During my junior year of high school, I made a necklace in a jewelry class. That necklace was entered into a competition where I won a silver key medal and a Scholastic Art Award. Also getting into my first choice and dream college (FIDM)—that would have to be my top accomplishment!
What fashion trend do you love right now? I am currently in love with the fact that bell bottom jeans are back in fashion, especially when styled with a nice blouse and simple heels. Girls at my school have modernized the bell bottom look in comparison to the ‘80s style, and I can’t get enough!
Who do you follow on social media for fashion inspo? I don’t follow anyone in particular, and I don’t follow anyone’s style. I do what I want with my fashion sense because the way I look at fashion, it’s another way to express your personality type. So I let my fashion sense speak for itself, for who I am as a person.
Do you plan on attending FIDM? Yes, I was accepted into FIDM last month!
What are your career goals? I am going to FIDM for Visual Communications and with that degree I plan on becoming a visual decorator for Walt Disney World or a set director for Warner Brothers.
Anything else to share? I’M SUPER EXCITED TO ATTEND FIDM AND THERE’S NOT A DAY THAT GOES BY WHERE I’M NOT SMILING AND THINKING ABOUT IT! (:
