By the time I was six years old, I owned a three subject notebook filled with my fashion drawings.

Tell us a bit about yourself: I have always been interested in the fashion industry. I would look through fashion magazines to get inspiration in drawing an original outfit and watch TV shows—That's So Raven in particular—to gain the notion and strive to become a fashion designer. By the time I was six years old, I owned a three subject notebook filled with my fashion drawings. It was soon that I realized that fashion was a passion of mine and I would become a fashion designer. By the time I was 15 years old, I not only styled my outfits but also those of my friends, because they admired my fashionista abilities. I was an intern for a fashion stylist, and I networked with people in the fashion industry to get advice. The experience I had helped me to create an image and goals so I will be successful in my future career path.

How did you get involved in Fashion Club at MBAPCHS? In October of last year, Philadelphia hosted their annual performing arts/arts colleges fair. My mom and I walked around the whole room and FIDM caught my eye. I talked to one of the representatives from the school and she told me about all the opportunities FIDM had to offer. I went straight home and my only mission was to establish an official FIDM Fashion Club at my high school.

What kinds of activities do you do at your club meetings? We meet every Monday and we do fun activities such as: decorating and promoting our club on poster boards and social media; ice breakers for club members to get to know one another; working on DIY projects (customizing jeans, home made face remedies, t-shirt contests, etc.); an end of the year field trip to New York City to visit fabric shops and museums that feature fashion exhibits.

What is one of your proudest accomplishments? One of my proudest accomplishments was establishing the club at my school. I had been working on putting it together my entire sophomore year and all the hard work has finally paid off to make it possible for the club to be standing today. I also got the chance to visit FIDM San Francisco over the summer and I loved everything about the school!

What's a fashion trend you're loving right now? Plaid oversized shirts and the color grey.

Who do you follow on Insta for fashion inspo? I am obsessed with checking out Fashionbombdaily, June Ambrose, Michael Costello, and Forever 21.

Do you have plans to attend FIDM? Yes, in the fall of 2017.
