I am a senior and the Vice President of Fashion Club at my high school. I’m also a Varsity Cheerleader, part of my theatre program, and Secretary of Student Council. I would describe myself as being a pretty well-rounded individual.

I want to study and major in Fashion Design & Fashion Journalism up in San Francisco. My favorite social media app is Twitter/IG or tumblr so feel free to follow me @lifeofmakiya (Twitter/IG) and I believe fashion is probably the best way to express yourself.

Fashion Club was launched at our school before I joined it, but I have been part of the success of rebuilding Fashion Club and making it exciting for all the members. Our main focus for the club is making it fun and exciting for everyone—whether it be through fashion shows, DIY days, etc.

I've loved fashion since I was a little girl. I always wanted to be a model so I could strut down the runway, but as I got older I realized I wanted to be the person who designed the clothing on the runway. I love fashion so much—I think because it's probably the easiest way for me to express myself.

I would describe my own style as really girly with a touch edge to it. I absolutely adore skirts and really flowy dresses. My favorite fashion accessory would have to be a watch or a cute hat.
