Carmel Christian Fashion Club

FC President Lauren Dunn and her club members in North Carolina volunteer at a place that offers free clothing for foster children.

My proudest accomplishment for FIDM Fashion Club is, hands-down, the work we have been able to do through Mosaic.

Mosaic Style With Love is a ministry of Carmel Baptist Church, the church our school is affiliated with. The program provides free, new clothing to foster children in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg foster care system. Fashion Club members go to the store once a week to sort incoming merchandise, dress and accessorize mannequins, create window displays, and style the children coming into the store.

As President, I feel that it is very important for Fashion Club to be part of the community because we have been blessed with so much, and therefore, it is our responsibility to share with others through our time and talents.

There are plans to increase Fashion Club's role at the store. FC members will have the privilege of coming up with 3-6 outfits each season for teen girls, and 3-6 outfits for teen guys for the store to buy in every size. It really is an amazing opportunity for us to serve our community in ways we enjoy, and also know that we are impacting the lives of those around us.
